Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have cancelled their scheduled concerts in Russia and Ukraine “in light of current events”.The group were due to perform at Bol Festival in Moscow, Russia on June 18 before visiting the Palace Of Sports complex in Kyiv, Ukraine on August 19 as part of a wider run of dates for 2022.Sharing a statement on social media, Cave and co. said they had “no choice but to cancel” the shows following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last week.

Playground Games has released a new Forza Horizon 5 update which adds sign language support.Previously announced last year, the sign language support feature has been in development for a while but has finally arrived today for all platforms.When players boot up Forza Horizon 5, they should be able to find both American Sign Language (ASL) and British Sign Language (BSL) features in the settings.The sign language update will support 150 in-game cinematics that are shown throughout the game, making the driving game much more accessible for deaf and hard of hearing players.The newly released YouTube video shows how the feature has been implemented, with actors from the deaf and hard of hearing community signing in the corner of the screen during the cinematics, story segments, and challenges.In a new blog post detailing the update, Microsoft’s chief accessibility officer, Jenny Lay-Flurrie, discussed the new update and talked about her own deafness, saying that with the addition of signing in the game, she no longer needs to ask her family what she missed.“There are so many people with disabilities and people who are deaf. Like seemingly every other musician on the planet, the members of the New Jersey post-hardcore institution Thursday recently found themselves wondering how to spend their time. The coronavirus pandemic forced them to cancel all of their 2020 shows, and one member was about to be a father. They got together remotely to make plans for the immediate future. “It was a conversation that started from our own needs and self-interests,” frontman Geoff Rickly said. “But we kept being like, who has money? Our fans are from the same economic background that we are. They don’t have money—they’re probably out of work.”

My Chemical Romance has announced they are selling fabric face masks for coronavirus relief, as NME points out. According to the product description, the masks were originally conceived by former band manager Lauren Valencia, who passed away from cancer in 2019, and were originally intended for a desert show “that never happened, never will.” All proceeds from sales of the mask will go to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, which seeks to aid music professionals who have been affected by the ongoing pandemic. My Chemical Romance have postponed their Australian and New Zealand dates on the band’s upcoming reunion tour. MCR were scheduled to kick off the trek on March 20 in Melbourne, Australia, then play Sydney the following night before heading to a concert in Auckland New Zealand on March 25. Now, the shows have been pushed back to an unknown date as a result of the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
