A woman who was throttled and stamped on by her boyfriend has urged fellow domestic abuse survivors to seek help. Chloe Robinson, from Bolton, was subjected to a 'campaign' of abuse from 'cowardly' partner Leon Richmond.
A court heard how she was dragged by her hair, throttled and had her ribs stamped on after he falsely accused her of sending intimate pictures to another man.
In another attack, Richmond poured Coca-Cola over her. On Friday, Chloe bravely appeared in Minshull Street Court to watch Richmond be jailed for 28 months after he pleaded guilty to coercive and controlling behaviour, and common assault. The 27-year-old also encouraged other women in similar positions to her to take action and seek help against abusive partners.
