Mutant baby shark discovered by fisherman with 'human face due to rare condition'

A mutant baby shark with what appears to be a human face has baffled a fisherman after it was caught off the coast of Indonesia.

The bizarre creature was found by Abdullah Nuren after he set off from Rote Ndao in East Nusa Tenggara, on Sunday February 21.

He accidentally caught a pregnant shark while he was out fishing and she died after getting stuck in the trawler. Experts have suggested its unique appearance could be due to a rare condition.

Abdullah, 48, noticed the apex predator was pregnant with three pups. When he cut open its stomach there were two baby sharks inside but the third stood out.
