Musician Jordan Coulthard has just released his first self-penned single and he's already amazed at the response. Jordan, who goes by just his surname Coulthard as an artist, released catchy dance track Climax at the weekend to much praise from fans.
It's the first song he's written himself, after enjoying chart success with his debut tracks which were both cover versions.
He recorded it at the Manchester home he now shares with his partner, Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank. And he says Daniel, who plays Corrie's Billy Mayhew, has given him the confidence boost he needed to realise his musical ambitions. "He lives in a different world to me, and he said 'it is absolutely achieveable' in terms of my music goals.
Where I grew up was a tiny town, and having these dreams of releasing music, they were like 'yeah that's great but you need a real job.' "Dan has really ignited something in me, to realise that this isn't an out there goal, it can happen, he's been one of my biggest supporters." Jordan, 24, has been making music since he was a teenager, but first started releasing his tracks in 2021.
