'Murderous beast' will die behind bars for slaughter of young couple

A 'murderous beast' who stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death then killed her new partner will die behind bars after a judge sentenced him to a rare whole life order.

Marcus Osborne, 35, who has a shocking history of domestic violence, stabbed nurse and mum-of-four Katie Higton a total of 99 times.

A court heard he lay in wait for Ms Higton, 27, then attacked her at the front door of her home. He then lured Steven Harnett, 25, to the house and stabbed him repeatedly with a knife before mutilating his body.

A judge was told evil Osborne - branded a 'murderous beast' by Ms Higton's father - went on to clean their bodies then 'pose' them in the living room.
