A man jailed for killing two elderly sisters is back behind bars after beating a 73-year-old woman to death. Lawrence Bierton, 61, was convicted of double murder in 1995 and was released on licence in 2020 when he housed next door to Pauline Quinn, t he Mirror reports.
Yesterday Bierton warned he faces a whole-life term when he is sentenced for the murder Mrs Quinn. Prosecutor John Cammegh told the brief plea hearing that Pauline had suffered a “number of blows” with a “degree of force”.
