Murder investigation launched after man dies following serious assault in Edinburgh

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a 30-year-old man in Edinburgh. Liam Maloney has been named as the man who was seriously assaulted on Niddrie Marischal Road, near to its junction with Niddrie Marischal Grove, in the city.
