A man has been charged with murder after a man was found dead in a block of flats in Salford. Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident on Adelphi Street just before 5.30pm on Saturday (June 25).
They were initially called to reports of concern for the welfare of a man. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation was launched. James Johnson has been charged with his murder. The 28-year-old appeared Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today (June 28).
He was remanded into custody for a further hearing at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday. Police said previously that the victim's next of kin had been informed of his death.
