Murder accused in court after death of Dundee woman on Bonfire Night

Tributes have been paid to a Dundee woman who died in an alleged incident in the city on Bonfire Night. The victim, Yvonne Barr, was found at an address in Aboyne Avenue last Friday.

The 47-year-old’s partner, Kenneth Melville, was charged with her murder when he appeared in private at Dundee Sheriff Court yesterday.

The 58-year-old made no plea and was remanded in custody.
