pensioner has told a court she was outraged after receiving a birthday card from her son in the post. While giving evidence at the trial of son Joseph Carson, 63, on Tuesday, Jane Carson, 84, said she tore the card in half and threw it in the bin.
Joseph is currently on trial at Paisley Sheriff Court accused of breaking court bans on contacting his mum, his de facto adopted sister, Gayle McMillan, and her husband, Alan McMillan.
Mrs Carson told the court that she had received mail from Joseph in both 2019 and 2020, and explained: "I don't have a relationship with my son."When asked by Procurator Fiscal Depute Frankie Morgan, prosecuting, if Joseph had been placed on a Non-Harassment Order, on September 1, 2017, banning him from contacting.
