A mum who claims she was told off at Lidl in a "back room" after criticising the store on Facebook has called on the company's CEO to get involved.

Ana Palmer, from Tavistock, Devon, claimed the confrontation took place after she posted the comments just after Christmas. The mum-of-one said she had her shopping bags searched and was told it was due to an increase in "mystery shoppers".

Shocked by her treatment, she posted about it on Facebook, but her remarks went down like a lead balloon, Plymouth Live reports.

She said she was "taken to the backroom" and given a telling off during a follow up visit. The distraught shopper covertly recorded the conversation with the member of staff.
