A grieving mum has paid to tribute to her six-year-old son, who died after his bike was hit by a car a year after she lost her husband.
Kidus Wendosen's family described him as a 'happy, friendly boy' who was 'always smiling'. Police were called to reports of a crash involving a car and a bicycle at a junction in Hulme, Manchester, at 5.55pm on Sunday last week.
Kidus pronounced dead a short time later and a woman was arrested. His mum Zufan Yemane, 30, had been watching him play when she saw him struck outside their home, the Manchester Evening News reports.
