A mum is pleading with people to help fund a breast reduction for her son, who has a rare condition that has caused him to grow a breast aged just 11.
Sophie Townsend, 37, first discovered a lump on her son Rhys's right nipple three years ago. Doctors confirmed the lump is benign - but as Rhys finished his final year of primary school, the lump began to grow into a tennis-ball sized breast - leaving Rhys desperately embarrassed.
Sophie said her son has gone from a care-free sporty child to a reclusive and anxious shell with his classmates teasing him for the condition, which is called Gynecomastia.
