A mum has shared the horror moment she witnessed an aggressive dog biting her child at a playpark in Glasgow. Lynsey Knight was visiting Jordanhill Park with her children, Anna Knight-Mulhern, four, and Eva Knight-Mulhern, five, on April 6 when she spotted a dog walker step into the play area with a small Westie-type dog.
After looking away for a few minutes she saw the dog near her youngest daughter. The animal reportedly barked and growled at the child before biting her arm.Lynsey says she and her eldest daughter were 'paralysed in fear' before she snatched Anna away.
The dog had broken the four-year-old's skin and left her with a raised bruise on her arm.The mum, from the Jordanhill area of the city, told our sister title, Glasgow Live: "The girls were playing in the play park and I saw a woman coming with her dog.
My eldest daughter is quite anxious around dogs, and she mentioned the dog was off its lead."I thought it was on the lead. The woman was quite far away from us and then the next thing I know Anna was playing on the wooden assault course and the dog was beside her."I shouted and said there was a dog behind her.
