Mum orders son's engagement cake but is baffled as what is delivered 'scares grandkids'

A woman was left baffled after ordering a cake to celebrate her son's engagement - only for it to arrive looking like a "bad rash" and tasting "inedible".

Kathy Whittle, 48, from Bromley, London, said she originally ordered an ornate white cake for £30 from a local baker to celebrate the special family moment.

But what she got instead was an "inedible" cake that some likened to a "bad rash" or the "statue of Strepsil on somebody's tongue", MyLondon reports.

Kathy took to Facebook to share pictures of what came as a collapsed red blob, joking about how the cake would've been perfect if her son's partner had said 'no'.
