Mum on hunt for kind stranger who found missing autistic daughter on beach

A mum has told of the "worst ten minutes of her life" after her young daughter went missing at Portobello Beach, Edinburgh. Dannielle Johnston, 28, had taken her daughter Amelie, who has autism, to the popular spot on Wednesday as temperatures soared over 20 degrees.

However, Danielle panicked when she could no longer see Amelie paddling in the water. The mum, from Penicuik, said: "My daughter had been right in front of us but because the water had gone out a bit when she came out she got a bit disorientated and ended up walking the wrong way away from us. "When I went to get her and saw she wasn't there I started to look the other way, so we were going in opposite directions. "Amelie was heading in the direction of the cat and dog home,
