A tragic mum who lost her child in a freak accident has died following gastric bypass complications. Jenni Jones was just 42 when she passed away on April 17, leaving behind three daughters.

Her death comes as the second tragedy to hit the family after her six-year-old son accidentally hanged himself while playing with a rope in 2007.

The former nail technician, from Bury, had visited doctors just 10 days before her death complaining of stomach ache. A scan revealed she had a cystic ulcer in her stomach which had ruptured her bowel.
