A mum cried in court as she was jailed alongside her boyfriend for a car chase which led to a man being brutally hacked at with a machete.
Chelsea Mighall called in her partner, Rory Pearson, after a bout of road rage in Bidston, Wirral, on June 15.Mighall pulled out in front of Tammy Winstanley and Peter Hamlet's vehicle during rush hour and "pushed her way in".
Ms Winstanley beeped her horn, which led to Mighall leaving her grey Nissan Qashqai to confront the other driver. After Ms Winstanley got out of her Vauxhall Meriva, Mighall was "very aggressive and threatening" and unloaded a "torrent of abuse".
The Liverpool ECHO reports that the 35-year-old told her road rival: "I'm gonna punch your head in, you fat cow." Liverpool Crown Court heard that Ms Winstanley aimed a blow at Mighall after this, at which point Mr Hamlet exited the car and pulled his partner away.
