It's no secret that the staff who work on the tills at Aldi are fast. They scan items through with lightning speed and it can be a real challenge to keep up with the packing.

Back in 2019, the supermarket chain revealed there was a reason their checkout time was faster than that of their rivals - so they can be more efficient.

Many people are used to the speedy scanning, but one woman says she was left feeling rather frustrated after a recent visit to her local store.

Taking to the Facebook group, AldiMums, the unnamed woman explained that she'd been paying for her shopping, when the cashier made an unexpected comment about her pace.
