Mum drives nine-year-old daughter to Italy for Covid-19 vaccine

A mum drove her daughter, aged nine, from the UK to Italy so that her child could receive the Covid-19 vaccine. Alice Columbo took her daughter, who possesses Italian citizenship, on the road trip which spanned hundreds of miles to get jabbed in Milan.

Ms Columbo, who is from Maidstone, Kent, states that she made the journey in order to protect "the most precious thing in the world", as reported by Kent Live.

She went on to say: "I'd rather risk a vaccine we know a fair amount about than take potluck with a virus about which we know very little."The mum also detailed her concern surrounding long Covid, saying: "Why would I not give protection to the most precious thing in the world to me, my daughter, rather than run the risk of her
