A young mum was left horrified after an unwelcome discovery in her son's meal. Caitlyn Lawton, 20, bought frozen fish fingers from Asda's Just Essential range for her toddler Austin's tea.But after sticking them in the oven and getting ready to serve them to her wee boy one evening last April, she was left aghast at what she uncovered. After cutting up the fish fingers to make them easier for Austin to eat, she realised that the tasty treats were filled with fish eggs, Chronicle Live reports.Caitlyn, from Cramlington in Northumberland, said: "It was disgusting.
I had cooked the fish fingers and my partner got the tray out, cut them up and put them on the windowsill to cool down."I got the tray out to give them to him and noticed all these little balls and thought it wasn't right.
I cut them up again and realised it was lots of fish eggs."The sickened mum was relieved that she noticed the unsavoury surprise before Austin tucked into his meal. She said: "I have really bad health anxiety and this would have pushed me over the edge.
If he had eaten them, I would probably have taken him to hospital."After the frightful encounter, Caitlyn has decided not to go to Blyth's Asda any more.
