A mum caught with a cannabis farm worth £15,000 in her bedroom told police the plants were for 'medicinal purposes'. Emma Carter, 41, agreed to let her Salford home be used for the 20-plant set-up.
The farm was discovered by police when they visited her house, originally looking for a wanted man. Manchester Crown Court heard that as officers searched the home, they could hear a humming noise and detected a strong smell of cannabis.
Carter first told officers her daughter had been using a sunbed in the bedroom. As cops uncovered the farm, she said the plants were to be used for a medical condition.
