A passenger has ignited a heated discussion after refusing to give up her pre-booked plane seat to a mother who wanted to sit with her children during the flight.
The woman, who had specifically chosen an aisle seat near the front to alleviate her anxiety, explained that she prefers to be close to an exit row in case of an emergency.
Shortly after boarding, another passenger asked her to swap seats, as her children were scattered throughout the plane. The woman recounted on Reddit: "She wanted my seat so she could sit closer to her kids.
I looked at where her seat was, and it was a middle seat near the back. "I politely declined, explaining that I'd paid extra specifically for this seat and wasn't comfortable switching.
