A mum used the £250,000 she stole from work to fund a 'lavish style', a court was told yesterday. Angela Boote was a long term employee at insurance brokers - with her duties including managing some company banking functions.
Boote used this power to take cash for herself over a two-and-a-half year period, sending payments intended for clients to numerous personal accounts.
They included accounts for one of her daughters and one she shared with her husband, though there was no suggestion they were involved in the scheme.
