A much loved former headteacher was killed after a mum driving on the wrong side of a motorway slip road ploughed into her. Ann Marie Crook said she had 'no explanation' for her actions, prior to hitting Paula Kingdon's car.

Now Crook has been jailed for four years and eight months, the Liverpool Echo reports. Manchester's courts are some of the busiest in the country with a vast array of cases heard every week.
