The Hills: New Beginnings is apparently not coming back. The MTV show will not be getting a third season, TMZ reported Tuesday (January 18). Click inside to read more… Multiple sources reportedly told the outlet that the show is officially not coming back, and that the cast got news late last week.
TMZ also reported that one source said producers pitched the idea of adding younger cast members, but “several of the original stars were not on board.” They also report that some of the stars had issues with the reboot, “believing it wasn’t the show MTV promised them, and feeling like it was, at times, forced with fake storylines and confessionals.” Another source told TMZ that the cancelation has to do with coronavirus, and that there were a lot of production issues with filming the large cast under the required protocols.
The reboot launched in 2019 with Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, Heidi Montag, Spencer and Stephanie Pratt, Whitney Port, Brandon Thomas Lee, Kaitlynn Carter, Frankie Delgado, Justin Brescia, Jason and Ashley Wahler and Mischa Barton.
