Michaela Zee Peacock has released the official trailer for “Mr. Monk‘s Last Case: A Monk Movie,” with Tony Shalhoub reprising his role as the beloved Defective Detective.
Set in a post-COVID world, the “Monk” reunion movie follows Shalhoub’s Adrian Monk, a consulting detective with obsessive-compulsive disorder and a wide range of phobias.
Per the official logline, Monk returns to solve one last and “very personal case involving his beloved step-daughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding.” “He’s afraid of heights,” says Jason Gray-Stanford’s Lieutenant Randy Disher in the trailer. “It’s his second-biggest fear after germs.” Traylor Howard, who reprises her role as Natalie Teeger, clarifies, “Actually, it goes germs, needles, birds, then heights.” Original series stars Howard, Gray-Stanford, Melora Hardin, Hector Elizondo and Ted Levine reprise their roles in “Mr.
Monk’s Last Case” alongside Shalhoub, with newcomers Caitlin McGee and James Purefoy playing Molly Evans and Rick Eden, respectively.
