‘Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie’ Gets Peacock Premiere Date; First Photos
deadline.comWe have a date and some first-look images for the Monk follow-up movie. Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie starring Tony Shalhoub in a reprisal of his titular role, will release December 8 on Peacock.
Along with Shalhoub, the movie features several of the series original cast including Ted Levine, Traylor Howard, Jason Gray-Stanford, Melora Hardin and Hector Elizondo.
New cast members include Caitlin McGee(Home Economics) as Molly Evansand James Purefoy (Sex Education) as Rick Eden. In the follow-up movie, Monk, a brilliant San Francisco-based detective with obsessive-compulsive disorder, returns to solve one last, very personal case involving his beloved stepdaughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding.
The movie is created, written and executive produced by the original series creative team, Andy Breckman. David Hoberman, Randy Zisk, who also directs, and Shalhoub also executive produce.
