Motorcyclist dies on Scots road after collision involving car

A motorcyclist has been killed after a collision involving a car on the A9 on Friday night. Police are appealing for witnesses after the biker, aged 63, died following a crash with a car.

The 63-year-old, who was riding a Triumph Tiger, died at the scene after colliding with a Skoda Superb on the A9, near Auchterarder, Perth and Kinross.

The driver of the Skoda was taken to Ninewells Hospital, in Dundee, while two passengers were taken to Forth Valley Hospital for treatment.The motorcyclist's next of kin have been informed of his death as a result of the 11.30pm crash, but formal identification is still to take place.

Police Scotland is now appealing for witnesses to the crash. Police Sergeant William Strachan, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “Our inquiries are continuing to understand the full circumstances of what happened.
