Sixteen-year-old Lennon Miller made his first start for Motherwell in their final day win over Dundee United and boss Stuart Kettlewell reckons the midfielder has shown he can handle being a regular fixture next season. The Wishaw youngster, who is the son of former Aberdeen and Scotland striker Lee, played 65 minutes at Fir Park in front of his proud family in the crowd on May 28.And Kettlewell said of the Scotland U17 international’s display: “I’m delighted for him.

I thought he handled it very well.“It was a tough first half for us and as a whole I would have liked us to have had more control in the game, so that helps him in that first start in the Premiership.“Situations off the ball he handled very well and I thought he grew into it even more in the second half as well.“It was important for me to show that we have some really good talent at the football club and Lennon is one that I feel is ready to push on, even though he’s only 16 years old.“I think he has the capability of being a fixture in that first team squad.”Lennon made his debut off the bench in August in a 4-0 League Cup win over Inverness, as well as featuring as a substitute against Rangers, Celtic and Livingston in league outings.Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitter via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
