‘Goal-hungry’ Louise Moult admits he has lost sleep over disallowed goals since returning to Motherwell, but hopes he’s now off the mark.

The 30-year-old netted his first goal since returning to Fir Park on loan from Burton Albion in the 3-2 defeat at Hearts on Sunday, and reckons he’s building a fruitful partnership with Kevin van Veen.

He said: “I’ve been losing sleep over not scoring. I think you know me as a person from the first time, I’m goal-hungry and that hasn’t changed.“I felt hard done-by on two disallowed goals that I’ve scored since I’ve been back at the club, but it was important that I put that to the back of my mind and tried to score.“I thoroughly believed that I was going to score if I was going to come on.“Fair play to Kev, he let me take the penalty, said I won it and to get myself a goal.“I massively appreciated that, it was nice of him, and I’d do the exact same thing for him, vice-versa, and I think that speaks of the relationship we’ve got, on and off the pitch.”Moult says he’s feeling sharper and believed he could come on and score against Hearts. He said: “I’ve had a good week’s training, I think that was key, and I felt really sharp when I was on the pitch.“I think when the ball came up to me and Kev we linked up well, and I thought we were causing them all sorts of problems.“Hopefully that gives me a bit of momentum now, going into the next two games before the break, and I’m goal-hungry now, I want to score as many goals as I can for this club.“We’ve got two more games to get positive results from, and that’s what we need to focus on now.”Moult was left frustrated as ’Well pulled the score back to 2-2 with Blair Spittal’s strike, only for Lawrence Shankland to score a late penalty winner.Jorge
