All of the different options available can make it difficult to know where to head, however.Fortunately, experts at digital goods website Gembyte.com commissioned a study that looked into which destinations are most popular amongst couples.
Analysing TripAdvisor reviews for 262 hotels, they discovered which ones have most frequently been described as romantic.The Witchery in Edinburgh placed second on the list, with 282 reviews calling it romantic.
The boutique gothic hotel includes nine "fabulously original and indulgent" suites, and was described by Cosmopolitan as "one of the seven wonders of the hotel world".Gembyte.com added: "The Witchery is perfect for everyone looking for a lavish romantic getaway.
