Most popular UK baby names for boys and girls revealed
manchestereveningnews.co.ukThe most popular baby names in the UK have been revealed by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). Olivia, Amelia and Isla were the three most popular baby girl names in 2023 in England and Wales, the same as the previous year.
Olivia has been the number one girls name since 2016. And for baby boys, Mohammed, Noah and Oliver were the top three name choices in 2023.
Mohammed overtook Noah from the previous year, and Oliver jumped up to top three, replacing George. The ONS revealed that there was an increase in popular musical artists' names as baby names in 2023 including Billie, Lana, Miley, and Rihanna for girls, and Kendrick and Elton for boys.
