With Christmas day just passed, shoppers have been thrown into a tizzy after Morrisons was seen to stock shelves with Easter eggs on Boxing Day.With sales beginning on December 26, many shoppers hit the shops for the best Boxing Day deals.
But customers of one of the UK's biggest supermarkets were gobsmacked to find that the retailer had begun selling Easter eggs just 24 hours after the festive holiday, reports Wales Online.The chocolate eggs are traditionally enjoyed on Easter Sunday, which falls this year on April 9 - over four months away.
Many took to social media to rant about Morrisons' attempt to beat out the competition.Writing on Twitter, one shopper shared an Easter Terry's chocolate orange and wrote: "Don't worry folks!
To make sure you don't miss the next big event, shops have started stocking Easter treats and goodies."Nice one @Morrisons. We were beginning to panic that you'd forgotten!"Photos shared to the site showed aisles teaming with displays of Mini Eggs, Lindt and Cadbury bunnies and Galaxy caramel eggs.
