More than 100 people are believed to have died after a plane crashed into houses in Pakistan. The Pakistan International Airlines plane came down near the city of Karachi.
The aircraft had 99 passengers and eight crew members on board. Witnesses described how the plane attempted to land 'two or three times' before crashing in a residential area near to Jinnah International Airport.
The plane was arriving from Lahore, the capital of Pakistan's Punjab province. The mayor of Karachi, who attended the scene of the crash, initially announced that none of the people on board had survived.
