deadline.comThe drama in the UK’s Royal Family keeps on coming. Princess Anne, King Charles III‘s sister, was admitted to hospital this morning after suffering from minor injuries and concussion, Buckingham Palace said.
The princess is expected to make a quick recovery, according to the palace. “The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to the Princess for a speedy recovery,” the statement added.
The cause of the injury is unconfirmed, but reports said it is understood to be consistent with a potential impact from a horse’s head or legs.
Anne’s love of horses was spotlighted in the third and fourth seasons of Netflix’s The Crown, in which she was played by Erin Doherty.
