Molly-Mae Hague has revealed the unusual nickname she has gained since starring on Love Island.The 23 year old appeared on the 2019 series of the ITV2 dating show and she says since her appearance her friends and family have been calling her the unusual moniker after it trended on Twitter.
Writing in her new autobiography, Becoming Molly-Mae, the influencer opens up about how the name came about. She says: “Looking at Twitter was not so fun.

But back then, it was a whole new world to me; seeing myself trending on Twitter was a hard thing to wrap my head around. “I couldn’t believe people even knew my name, let alone that they were writing about me.” Molly and her co-star boyfriend, boxer Tommy Fury, finished runners-up on the 2019 series behind Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea, who split the £50,000 cash prize.
