The trailer also features new music for the highly-anticipated Disney sequel, which arrives in theaters in November.The first “Moana” film came out in 2016 and grossed over $687 million worldwide.
It scored two Oscar nominations, including Best Original Song for “How Far I’ll Go.”At the start of the trailer, Moana gets a call from her ancestors “to sail to new skies and reconnect our people across the entire ocean.”Then, thrilling new music plays as Moana heads out on her next adventure — and she’s not alone.
Moana’s rooster Heihei and pig Pua join her, as does Johnson’s Maui, who makes an epic arrival on her boat. “Bacon and eggs!” Maui says while holding Moana’s pets in each of his hands. “Why didn’t you bring the pig last time?” he asks.The synopsis for the film reads: “Moana is on an expansive journey in search of people beyond the shores of Motunui.
