'Moana 2' Could Outperform 'Inside Out 2' at Box Office, AMC Theatres CEO Says

Moana 2 is just weeks away from being released in theatres and it’s already predicted to do very well! It was previously noted that first-day ticket preorders broke the record record of the year for animated movies, and was only behind three films, Deadpool & Wolverine, Wicked and Dune: Part 2 in first day sales.

Now, AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron is saying he’s heard it could be even bigger than another Disney title, Inside Out 2, which was released earlier this year.

If you didn’t know, Inside Out 2 did very well months ago, quickly becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time this summer, surpassing Frozen II! Keep reading to find out more… “Some people in the know are telling me that Moana 2 could eclipse and outshine even the success of Inside Out 2,” Adam Aron said on the AMC quarterly earnings call, via Deadline.

Moana 2 debuts in theaters on November 27th, and is already reportedly predicted to earn $100 million plus during Thanksgiving weekend’s five-day timeline, Wednesday through Sunday.
