According to Deadline, the 54-year-old actress will take over Octavia Spencer‘s role in the movie, who had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict. Click inside to read more… Mo’Nique will star opposite Andra Day, Glenn Close, Rob Morgan, Caleb McLaughlin and Aunjanue Ellis, as a social worker who helps a family through a series of exorcisms.
The Oscar-winning actress last worked with Lee on 2009′s Precious, and they didn’t speak again for 13 years.
At the time, Mo’Nique accused him, Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry of blackballing her because she would not promote the film during awards season.
