MNEK has urged black celebrities to speak out against racism ‘or you’re complicit’. The singer confessed that he does worry about addressing social issues on social media, but ultimately ‘there’s no denying myself as a black person’.

He has recently been sharing his thoughts on the death of George Floyd, a black man who died in Minnesota after a police officer kneeled on his neck for more than eight minutes.

The producer’s comments follow actor John Boyega shutting down concerns about his acting career as he addressed ‘white on black racism’ in a series of recent tweets after Floyd’s death.
