MJ Williams injury update as Bolton midfielder sets League One target for Wanderers next season

MJ Williams believes Bolton Wanderers must back themselves in the big games next season as they aim to compete for the upper echelons of League One.

Wanderers recently completed their League One campaign and finished ninth in their first campaign back in the division since 2020.

Williams, 26, played 44 times in all competitions for Wanderers in the season which has just concluded for the University of Bolton Stadium club, which included him scoring his first goal for the club in the 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday. As was the standard being so high in League One this season, Wanderers were 10 points from the top six and Williams feels the encounters against the big sides in the division and having the belief in those games will be key to competing at the top next season.
