A cat that went missing 12 years ago on a camping holiday has been found alive. Three-year-old Georgie travelled to a Scottish campsite with owner Amy Davies in 2008.
The pet went missing the day before they were due to travel home during a half-term break at the site at Loch Lomond in October.
The family hoped Georgie would be found through its microchip, but she was never tracked or taken to a vets. Instead, the feline remained in and around the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park site all this time, Daily Star reports.
She was fed and cared for by campsite staff and holidaymakers who came and went over the years, and her true identity was only discovered when the pandemic hit.
