Tom Ellis has welcomed his first child with wife Meaghan Oppenheimer, making him a dad-of-four. The 44 year old actor, famed for appearing in shows such as Miranda and Lucifer, announced the arrival of his and Meaghan's baby daughter Dolly on Instagram on Friday morning, following her birth on 8 November.
Tom shared a photograph of him and Meaghan, 37, gazing down at their newborn in an incubator at the hospital and revealed she was born via surrogate on Wednesday. "Our daughter Dolly Ellis-Oppenheimer was born on November 8th and within five hours of being alive, she single-handedly ended the SAG strike.
We love her. Huge thank you to our amazing surrogate," he penned with a pink heart emoji. Fans and fellow celebrities flocked to congratulate the actor, with his Lucifer co-star Rachael Harris writing: "Oh hello Dolly!
We have been waiting for you!" Canadian singer Alex Sampson said: "Congratulations Tom!! This is so beautiful," and Odette Annable penned: "Ohhh congrats!!" "Oh my goodness, I am so happy for you both!!
