Wednesday executive producer and former MGM President of Motion Picture Group Jonathan Glickman has been officially named CEO of Miramax, taking over for Bill Block who exited.
Glickman starts effective immediately and he’ll be responsible for building out the studio and exploiting its 700 title library which includes such Oscar lauded movies as Chicago, No Country for Old Men, The English Patient, and Shakespeare in Love as well as Pulp Fiction, Halloween, Scary Movie and Gangs of New York.
Miramax, which is a joint venture between beIN Media Group and Paramount Global, has acquired specific film, television and other projects from Glickman’s Panoramic Media, an independent film and tv production company he founded in 2020.
Miramax has a first look with Paramount Pictures. At Panoramic Media, he produced the films Creed 3 and The Underdoggsfor Amazon/MGM as well as EP’ed Netflix’s Emmy nominated smash Wednesday.
