Scots motorway. The 60-year-old woman was driving on the M9 in West Lothian when a bicycle smashed through her windscreen.It is believed to have come free from a vehicle driving on the opposite carriageway.
The incident took place northbound on the M9 between junctions one and two in West Lothian at about 5.50pm on Friday. Police are investigating the shock event, with the driver of the white Ford Focus taken to St John's Hospital in Livingston where she was treated for minor injuries.She managed to bring her car to a stop on the hard shoulder.
Pictures released by Police Scotland show the impact the bike had on her windscreen, with the handlebars crashing all the way through, coming to a rest on top of the steering wheel.
