'Little miracle' Elsie Hampson's tiny hand was the same size as her dad's fingernail when she was born at just 23 weeks. Her parents told how doctors gave her just a one in four chance of survival.

But now, after spending 70 days on life-support in hospital, Elsie is back at home and doing well. And her parents, Katie and Rob Hampson, from Rochdale, have shared their story to say thank you to all the doctors, nurses and surgeons involved in their daughter's care - describing the medics as their 'comfort blanket and support system'.

Elsie, who is now 10-months-old, was born weighing 1lb 1oz 17 weeks early at the Royal Oldham Hospital on June 17 last year.
