English Championship side Millwill have launched a seven-figure bid to prise Kevin Nisbet away from Hibernian. The Cambuslang man has been the subject of interest from down south over the past two seasons - including a failed move to Birmingham City in January 2021 after he handed in a transfer request - and it is being reported the Lions are offering a deal worth over £1m to take him to London by the end of the month.

A deal is said to be "close" to being struck and conversations with the Hibs board are ongoing.Nisbet has returned from a lengthy injury lay-off but he has picked up where he left off by bagging seven goals in seven games for the Hibees, and that has reignited interest in securing his services. The 25-year-old suffered a nasty ACL injury in February last year against Celtic and it has been a long road to recovery for the Scotland international, who joined Hibs from Dunfermline Athletic in July 2020.Nisbet scored a hat-trick in a 3-2 win over Motherwell earlier this month after making his return to action on December 15, netting in a 3-2 defeat to Rangers at Ibrox.

He has also found the target in the 4-0 win over Livingston on Christmas Eve and bagged a brace in the 2-2 draw with Dundee United on January 14.With 18 months left on his deal at Easter Road, the Hibs heirarchy will have a big decision to make with the former Raith Rovers and Partick Thistle man keen to test himself down south.Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitter via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
