Miley Cyrus is facing a major copyright infringement lawsuit! According to reports, her song Flowers is now in the crosshairs of a music investment company who claims that their ownership of a Bruno Mars track has been swiped right out from under them by the Hannah Montana alum’s hit single.
Whoa! Per TMZ on Monday night, Miley was sued for copyright infringement by a company called Tempo Music Investments.
That firm claims in their lawsuit that they own a share of Mars’ hit song When I Was Your Man. FWIW, Bruno himself is NOT part of this lawsuit against Miley — it’s only Tempo Music Investments seeking a payday on the partial ownership they have over his track.
But regardless, their newly-filed suit claims that there are so many musical similarities between Flowers and When I Was Your Man that it is the result of Miley “intentionally copying” Bruno.
