Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has doubled down on his decision to persevere with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. It comes despite a stretch of poor form from the Gunners captain.
The Gabon international has netted just three times in the Premier League, and once in his last eight outings. However, he has missed just two matches in the league with Arteta playing him up front, on the wing and as an attacking midfielder throughout the campaign.
Arsenal have bounced back from their shocking form at the start of the season and have mounted three wins in three. That includes a 3-1 win over Chelsea on Boxing Day and a 4-0 drubbing of West Brom on Saturday.
